You Can’t Hurry Love
I had lots of work to do in the office, so I couldn’t blog for a while. The pressure is on, well, it has been for a while, and we’re trying hard to make it through as a team.
In my private life, I got caught up in a cloud of not-so-positive thoughts, which is unlike me, but I guess every blue sky sees some clouds every once in while, sometimes more, sometimes less. I got caught in that silly I-wish-I-had-a-boyfriend cloud—stupid, really. I have been in even worse I-wish-he-would-love-me clouds before. It’s still a bit cloudy around me right now, but I do see blue skies, as I’ve managed to stick my head out.
I remembered that Phil Collins song “You can’t hurry love” and found it on YouTube. I keep playing it and humming it in my head. I thought I’d share it with those of you who are in their own love cloud right now.
What music do you listen to in a situation like this? Any recommendations?

I know how you’re feeling. In moments like that I love LeAnn Rimes. There is this one song, The Rose, which is actually an old Bette Midler song, that’s a bit sad and gives me hope at the same time.

I like this part:
“When the night has been too lonely
and the road has been too long,
and you think that love is only
for the lucky and the strong
Just remember, in the winter,
far beneath the bitter snow,
lies the seed that with the sun’s love
in the spring becomes the rose.”
Don’t give up!
“Quit yo Job” Jamie Foxx. JUST KIDDING! “I will survive” is all about you right now!
“Ain’t no mountain”, Marvin Gaye & Tammie Terrell. I also like the Diana Ross & The Supremes version.
You’ll get through, sister!
